Winter Weekend special:

This is a perfect chance to develop your winter skills and put them into practise over the course of a weekend housed in bunk-house accommodation. This course focuses exclusively on mountaineering techniques, but leaves plenty of time for fun and socialising.

The first day covers subjects like navigation, route planning, survival techniques and equipment.  The second day includes a walk planned by the group itself to demonstrate their new found skills.

This course can be run in any area, but the Cairgorms are recommended for this particular weekend.

Winter Night Navigation:

Organised either as a one night course or over a two night expedition, this course teaches all the required skills for safe navigation in winter during darkness hours.  Essential for personal or group security, attaining a high level of skill in these techniques will boost your confidence in winter mountaineering.  Candidates for this course should already have some background in winter walking experience.
